SITE SURVEY
Detailed site surveys to identify challenges before they become problems

No two sites are the same. Access limitations, ground conditions, restricted working areas and surrounding structures can all affect how a lifting operation is carried out safely and efficiently.

That is why site surveys are an important part of the Owen Lifting process.
Our surveys allow us to assess the environment in advance, identify potential issues early and determine the most appropriate lifting solution for the conditions on site.
ON A SITE SURVEY WE ASSESS THE PRACTICAL & OPERATIONAL FACTORS THAT MAY INFLUENCE THE LIFT
  • Site access and delivery routes
  • Crane setup and operating positions
  • Ground bearing conditions
  • Working radius and reach requirements
  • Overhead cables, structures and obstructions
  • Restrictions and neighbouring operations
  • Traffic management and public interface issues
  • Lift sequencing and material handling routes
This process helps reduce uncertainty on the day of the lift and ensures the correct crane, attachments and support equipment are allocated to the project.

For more complex operations, site surveys also assist with lift planning, risk assessment preparation and coordination with principal contractors and other site personnel.

Proper preparation on site saves time, improves safety and allows lifting operations to proceed with confidence.
